About Me
I came to teach yoga after a long and meandering journey through my own healing practice. Living with multiple injuries after surgeries at a young age that forever changed my body and being a sensitive creature in the world, I have been interested in wellness and healing modalities from an early age. However, in my attempts to build yoga practices, I would often end up injured, taking two steps forward and five steps back.
This cycle led me to study, learn from, and integrate many different modalities, including Qi Gong, Yoga Therapy, Medicinal Qi Gong, Somatic Therapy, Yoga, Functional Movement, Pilates, plant medicine and ceremony, Counselling, Physiotherapy, Breathwork, Herbalism, Ayurveda, Functional Health, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through these, I sought the language and insights to support my unique body in achieving balance and wellness.

My values include accessibility, self-care, preventative care, and health, which belong to everybody. Through exploring different modalities, I started to form a quilt of what works for me. This process involved slowing down and noticing the world around me, following the natural rhythms and cycles within myself and the natural environment. Instead of showing up as I was required to, I learned to show up for myself precisely as I needed to. I learned from the gentle wisdom of my body, and I follow that wisdom every day.

Although my classes have traditional yoga names, and I am deeply honoured by the teachings I have received in these modalities, my classes often combine learning from somatic therapies, yoga, and functional movement. Classes are designed to support everybody as much as I can, and inclusivity is an ongoing journey. My hope is that offering the ways I have learned to lean into movement, strengthening, and stability will support you in finding a gentle, nourishing way to build your own tapestry toward your unique sense of wellness.
